About Me
- Name: Elizabeth Vega
- Location: St. Louis, MO
As a journalist I thrived on the stories of everyday people but wanted to do something more with my words. Seeking to combine my talent for writing and interviewing into a meaningful purpose I turned toward hospice work. My goal was to use words, stories and life celebrations to help patients and their families focus on living. In July 2004, I created La Loba Life Service with a mission of bringing positive life closure through writing and story. This work has proven to be a life calling. I believe that everything that has happened to me has prepared me for what I am doing now. I am truly on my path. People often ask me if this kind of work is depressing. The answer is a resounding no. It is actually life affirming. I feel like I am standing and feeling the power of cycles and circles. As I help my clients find voice in the dusk of their life I am constantly reminded what is truly important.
